| DL CoD4 HC Season 3 launched |

The third (and maybe last?) season of DL Call of Duty 4 SD HC has been launched. This season will be played with only 9 teams (CoD w@w anyone?). The fight will be hard though, make no mistake!
This time the 9 teams will play all the other teams once. The final will be played between the two teams ending 1st and 2nd in pool play. The bronze match will be between 3rd and 4th of pool play.

The DBL Season 3 IO has officially started. The first of our week 1 matches have already taken place without any hick-ups and we hope the rest will follow suit.
It will be roughly 13 weeks until we crown this seasons winners so lets hope we have some good close matches and make this season one to remember.
Please all keep in mind that we may be introducing a couple of mini leagues/cups during this season if the form of a knife tournament and a 2v2 chopper league.

It's that time again. Another season has now come to and end and in true DBL fashion, it was an outstanding close to the season! This seasons finalists battled it out last night (27th July 2008) and what a final it was!
After the 1st map (Zatar Wetlands), Fu* came out on top winning 193 - 125 which I'm sure put them in a confident state going into the 2nd half. The 2nd half kicked off (Dragon Valley) and they battled once more. This time ]UK-C[ seemed more determined and ended up winning the map 175 - 107.
The teams (I suspect) looked to the scoreboard to confirm scores but realised the match was tied at 300 a piece..... This is a first for me to witness a draw, especially in a DBL Final!
With this, both teams geared themselves up for a tie breaker on Kubra Dam. Once again the battle commenced and from reports coming in, it looks like Fu* lost it on the opening move and ]UK-C[ came out on top yet again winning 202 - 86.
Final Score was:
]UK-C[ - 502
Fu* - 386
From all of us hear at the DBL we congratulate ]UK-C[ on the victory and becoming the Definitive Battlefield Leagues Season 5 winners. We also would like to say congratulations to Fu* for coming a close, hard fought 2nd place. This match will be one to remember!

| BF2 playoffs |

Both our BF2 competitions are now in the playoff phase. BF2 CQ season 5 playoffs is launched today starting with semifinals between the top 4 teams. BF2 IO season 2 playoffs started last week with quarterfinals between the top 8 teams. Hopefully we'll see both leagues grow in their next season - Dice is about to release a new patch so this great game might get a revival.
GG & HF to all teams playing in these playoffs!!!

The second winning team a Definitive Leagues Call of Duty 4 competition is official and again 4S pulled it off after a good fight against -*MiA*-. Congrats on a well done Hardcore season goes out to both teams. Escpecially 4S of course, not bad pulling off both STD and HC!! GG & HF!!
Update: The fight for 3rd/4th place was played last night (21/4). Threecrowns met Croatian Tactical Squad in a match so even that the overtime map Shipment was needed. This match was won by 3C ( 20-18 ).

The first winners of a Definitive Leagues Call of Duty 4 competition is official. The CoD4 Standard playoffs has just completed and was won by 4S after a fierce fight against [TDL]. Congrats on a well done season goes out to both teams. Escpecially 4S of course! GG & HF!!
Update: The fight for 3rd/4th place was played 24/4. Threecrowns met AVPTK and lost bigtime (as always in standard mode  This match was won by AVPTK (20-1).

| BF2 - new seasons launch |

The new DBL BF2 Conquer season 5 has just launched and the matches are on their way. This time we run one pool of 7 teams meeting each other twice on the same map. It's gonna be a slightly longer and very interesting season.
Also, the DBL BF2 Infantry Only season 2 is just about to start. Match plans are publish any time now. In the IO league we will run one large pool containing 12 teams so this season will stretch over 11 weeks of pool play.
In both these leagues the top 4 teams following pool play will advance to the playoffs. Let the guns roar gentlemen! GG & HF

On the 3rd of February 2008 the Definitive Leagues Battlefield 2 Infantry Only Final took place. With reports of the match being very tense and incredibly close, this may have been one of the best battles in DBL history.
UK-Coalition managed to pull the victory away from a determined opponent, [Aliens], in the closing stages of the match to prove they are the best of the best in this opening BF2 IO season.
The final scores were:
UK-Coalition - 269
[Aliens] - 242
On behalf of us all here at Definitive Leagues, I would like to say congratulations to UK-Coalition for being the first DBL Infantry Only Champions!!!
Registration has already begun for season 2 of the IO league so if you think you have what it takes to be the best, come register HERE and prove yourself.
